1. Definitions
In these Terms and Conditions:
- "Service" refers to watch repair and maintenance services provided by oakhaopmy
- "Client" or "You" refers to the person or entity using our services
- "We," "Us," or "Our" refers to oakhaopmy
- "Timepiece" or "Watch" refers to the item submitted for service
- "Agreement" means these Terms and Conditions
2. Acceptance of Terms
By submitting a watch for service, requesting information, or using our website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our services. You must be at least 18 years old to enter into this agreement.
3. Service Description
oakhaopmy provides professional watch repair and maintenance services including:
- Sapphire crystal replacement
- Complete dress watch servicing
- Gasket kit replacement
- Movement cleaning and regulation
- Case refinishing and polishing
- Water resistance testing
Service availability may vary based on watch type, component availability, and technical feasibility. We reserve the right to decline service for watches that require specialized equipment or expertise we do not possess.
4. Client Responsibilities
When using our services, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information about the watch and its condition
- Disclose any previous repairs or modifications
- Remove any personal items stored in watch compartments
- Respond promptly to communication regarding your watch
- Collect your watch within 60 days of service completion notification
- Pay all agreed service fees in full upon collection
5. Service Process and Estimates
We provide service estimates based on initial inspection. Final costs may vary if additional work is discovered during disassembly. We will contact you for approval before proceeding with any work that exceeds the original estimate by more than 20%. Estimates are valid for 30 days from the date of quotation.
Timeframes provided are estimates based on typical service duration and current workload. While we make every effort to complete work within stated timeframes, delays may occur due to parts availability, unexpected complications, or other factors beyond our control.
6. Payment Terms
Payment terms are as follows:
- Payment is due in full upon collection of the serviced watch
- Accepted payment methods include cash, bank transfer, and major credit cards
- All prices are quoted in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR)
- Prices include applicable taxes unless otherwise stated
- A deposit may be required for extensive repairs or custom component sourcing
7. Service Warranty
We warrant the workmanship of our services for a period of six months from the date of service completion. This warranty covers defects in the work performed, including component failures that result from improper installation or substandard parts we have supplied. The warranty does not cover:
- Damage caused by misuse, abuse, or accidents after service
- Normal wear and tear
- Water damage if proper care instructions were not followed
- Repairs or modifications performed by third parties after our service
- Watches that have not been maintained according to recommendations
8. Limitations and Disclaimers
Our services are provided on an "as is" basis. While we exercise care and skill in all work performed, we make no representations regarding specific outcomes or improvements. We specifically disclaim:
- Any guarantee of specific timekeeping accuracy for vintage or heavily worn movements
- Responsibility for cosmetic imperfections that existed prior to service
- Liability for watches with undisclosed previous damage or improper repairs
- Any claims regarding the authenticity or value of watches serviced
9. Limitation of Liability
Our total liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the amount paid for the specific service in question. We shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or special damages including loss of use, loss of profits, or sentimental value. This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory upon which the claim is based.
In cases where a watch is damaged during service due to our negligence, our liability is limited to the fair market value of the watch prior to service, as determined by independent appraisal.
10. Uncollected Watches
Watches not collected within 60 days of service completion notification will be subject to a storage fee of MYR 10 per week. After 180 days, uncollected watches may be sold to recover service costs and storage fees, with any remaining proceeds held for the client for an additional six months. We will make reasonable efforts to contact you before taking such action.
11. Intellectual Property
All content on our website, including text, graphics, logos, and images, is the property of oakhaopmy and is protected by Malaysian and international copyright laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without express written permission.
12. Privacy and Data Protection
Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010. By using our services, you consent to the collection and use of information as described in our Privacy Policy.
13. Force Majeure
We shall not be liable for any failure to perform our obligations due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, government actions, labor disputes, equipment failures, or supply chain disruptions. In such cases, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you and resume service as soon as practicable.
14. Termination
Either party may terminate the service agreement at any time prior to completion of work. If you cancel service after work has begun, you are responsible for payment of work completed to date plus any non-refundable costs incurred for parts or specialized services. We reserve the right to refuse service or terminate the agreement if we determine that completing the work would be technically impossible or legally problematic.
15. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes arising from these terms or our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia. Before initiating legal proceedings, parties agree to attempt resolution through good-faith negotiation for a period of 30 days.
16. Severability
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable.
17. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Your continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified terms. For significant changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify existing clients.

19. Entire Agreement
These Terms and Conditions, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and oakhaopmy regarding the use of our services. Any previous agreements, understandings, or representations are superseded by these terms.
